How to choose a copper farmhouse sink
Why 16-gauge copper matters
Gauge measures thickness, and a lower number means thicker metal. Our sinks are hand-hammered from 16-gauge copper, heavier than the 18- to 22-gauge sheet used in many budget sinks, so they resist dents and stand up to daily use.
Farmhouse or undermount?
A farmhouse sink shows its hammered apron front and needs a sink base cabinet made for an apron-front sink. Choose a single bowl for large pots and pans, or a double bowl to wash and rinse side by side. An undermount sink has no apron and sits below the countertop for a clean edge.
Sizes and drain
Choose an inner size from 10 to 36 inches, 6 to 10 inches deep, or ask us for a custom size. Our sinks fit a standard 3.5-inch US kitchen drain, and the farmhouse models include an unlacquered brass drain.
Caring for a living finish
Wash with mild soap and water, then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners, which strip the patina. Acidic foods such as lemon or tomato can leave bright spots that fade as the patina returns.
Every sink is covered by our 5-year warranty and ships free to the US by express courier.
